SnapshotATX represents the gallery of an amateur photojournalist focusing on events of public interest. We strive to provide unedited high-quality photographs of community related events or activities.

Photos of a particular group or message do not represent an endorsement from SnapshotATX. We feel that remaining unassociated with any depicted groups allows us to best maintain both journalistic integrity and neutrality — our goal is to simply show what happened at a photographed event.

A large number of media organizations that perform protest photography participate in ‘self-censorship’ by not publishing photos or videos that may depict their preferred viewpoint in a negative light. At SnapshotATX we do not ‘self-censor’ any photo content in an effort to promote a certain viewpoint or to improve/degrade the optics of any pictured group or organization.

We feel that media groups that do specifically publish selected photos or videos at the request of a protesting group are fulfilling the role of a ‘PR Department’ for a specific group instead of acting as an unaffiliated reporter.

While the most recent focus has been protests of a political nature our photographer also enjoys sports and nature photography.
